What does this diagram show?

In this view, a non-brain tissue is connected to a gene if that gene shows minimal thresholded expression in the tissue, based on the following criteria:
  • Expressed in at least 5% of cells within the tissue
  • Expressed in at least 50 individual cells
  • Average tissue-level log expression > 0.01
These filters help focus on gene–tissue connections relevant to the selected disease. A PanelApp gene is absent from the chord diagram if the gene did not pass the expression thresholds in non-brain tissues.
Greyed-out diseases have no chord diagram because there are less than 5 panel genes for each.

Expression of genes whose disruption causes monogenic endocrine and metabolic disorders. Diagrams below highlight gene–tissue connections for the selected disease.
